• Improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage

• Tissues are strengthened

• It is a drug less way to relieve pain.

• No known side effects

Frequently Asked Questions:

What does a laser treatment feel like? The only feeling you will experience is a mild warmth or possibly tingling. Most of the time during a treatment you feel nothing.

How long does a treatment take? Most treatments are between 5-15 minutes, it all depends on the size of the area being treated.

Are there any side effects? Laser has been used for decades with very few reported side effects. If a patient is allergic to light than they may have a rash or blister a few days later. (This is rare) Treating a chronic condition will advance the tissues into a more acute state during the treatment process. This is normal and will only last a short time.

How often should a patient be treated? When you are in a acute stage of pain or injury daily treatments can be done. Most chronic conditions are treated 2-3 times per week. As the tissues heal this can be slowed to 1 time per week then once every 2 weeks.

How many treatments does it take? Acute conditions respond faster and usually take between 1-6 treatments. More chronic conditions can take 10-15 treatments. Some really severe conditions take ongoing treatments 2-4 weeks apart.

How long before results are noticed? Some patients have noticed pain reduction after just one treatment. Some do not notice any change for a few treatments, healing takes time. Treatments are accumulative and most cases see noticeable improvement in 3-4 treatments. As a general rule we want to see noticeable change in at least 2 weeks.

Can you do treatments over metal implants? Yes, this class of laser does not create heat. We have seen wonderful results with pain from post back and neck surgeries. We do not treat over pace makers or defibrillators. Until further research is done we can not treat expectant moms.
